I paid Paula Morlese a $1600 retainer for books correction (due to some poor/fraudulent activity on the part of a previous accountant) to have 3 years of books filed. Having her open a new bank account just to cash my cheque should have been the first clue... After 9 months of inactivity (part of which I discovered she went on vacation - presumably using my retainer), I asked for a full refund, to which she replied with a half-hearted table attempt at one year of papers. After correcting some of the issues and sending back requests for why she was misclassifying some expenses, I finally gave up and asked for my money again. The last I heard from Paula was a Dhl delivery with all my original documents, but no refund. Not even partial. When I went through the papers, it was very obvious that she hadn't even looked at most of the docs. Paula is a con. Turns out she's not even an a licensed accountant. Do not give this woman money.
